Europe 2024
Travelling through Europe felt like moving through multiple worlds in a matter of hours. High-speed trains and short flights made crossing borders effortless, with scenery shifting from rolling countryside to historic city centres almost instantly. Each destination had its own rhythm, language, and flavour, yet travel between them was smooth and well connected. The biggest positive of a European trip was the diversity packed into a single journey. Cambodia 2024
With a flight into Phnom Penh, followed by a short domestic flight and road journey to Siem Reap, I made it to Cambodia. Travelling by car through rural villages offered a glimpse into everyday life—stilted houses, rice fields stretching to the horizon, and children waving as we passed. The pace felt slower and more grounded, and moving between cities was refreshingly straightforward. From the moment I stepped onto the Narita Express, travelling felt seamless—clean stations, punctual trains, and clear signage made navigating a huge city surprisingly easy. Moving between neighbourhoods on the subway was an experience in itself, each stop revealing a different side of Tokyo, from neon-lit streets to quiet residential pockets. After a few days in the capital, I boarded the Shinkansen to Kyoto, gliding past cities and countryside at incredible speed. My journey to India began with a long-haul flight into Delhi, followed by an early-morning train ride to Agra. Watching the countryside roll past the window was an experience in itself—vendors hopping on and off, families chatting, chai being poured at every stop. By the time we arrived, the air felt different: warmer, busier, buzzing with anticipation.
